Job summary

Missouri Department of Conservation in southwest Missouri is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee transport and operation of heavy equipment on construction and maintenance projects. The role requires driving and operating dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, scrapers, and more.

You will supervise operators, read drawings, procure materials, and ensure safety. Candidates must have a high school diploma, 4 years of experience, and a valid CDL Class A; position based at Southwest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Four years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• CDL Class A driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport and operate heavy equipment of all types and sizes on projects.
• Schedule and supervise Heavy Equipment Operators.
• Read construction drawings and lay out grade stakes.
• Procure materials and supplies by estimating quantities, bids.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment fleet.
• Enter data into VUE Works and E Builder.
