Job summary

Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator III in Tucson, AZ. This role operates graders, loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment in a wastewater facility, performing sludge removal, site cleanup, and material transport.

Minimum five years of heavy equipment experience, CDL with tanker endorsement preferred, and ability to work in hazardous environments.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience operating heavy equipment including front-end loaders, graders, backhoes, and dump trucks.
• Experience with tractor/semi-trailer combinations and CDL vehicles is required.
• Arizona CDL with Tanker Endorsement preferred; DOT/medical requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy equipment in a wastewater facility to maintain and transport waste materials.
• Moves waste materials to landfills or drying beds; maintains conveyors and sludge removal with PPE.
• Performs minor repairs, assists mechanics, and supports in site cleanup and safety procedures.
