Job summary

Remedial Construction Services, L.P. seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator III to operate excavators, bulldozers, and graders at environmental remediation sites. Safety, accurate grading, and efficiency are essential on projects.

Responsibilities include pre-inspections, following JSA/JSAP, team communication, and equipment maintenance. Requires 5+ years of experience and a high school diploma; MSHA/HAZWOPER credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations governing excavation methods and practices.
• Ability to read survey stakes for alignment and grading.
• Experience with PPE in various outdoor conditions.
• Ability to interpret load charts for heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with all company and site safety policies.
• Provide input to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and JSAP updates.
• Perform daily pre-inspection and ongoing maintenance checks on equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment safely to minimize risk to people and property.
• Excavate, move, and grade earth per site specs and equipment limits.
• Achieve acceptable rough and finish grade in varying soils.
• Inspect surroundings to ensure safe ground conditions and clearance.
• Communicate professionally with team and interpret hand signals.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials.
• Maintain care and custody of equipment; daily cleaning.
• Report maintenance issues to the superintendent.
• Perform other duties as assigned and monitor site changes.
• Learn from senior operators and superintendents.
