The City of Winston-Salem is seeking an operator to perform heavy equipment tasks within the Sanitation Division under immediate supervision. You will operate hoist truck, rear load packer, scow dump truck and leaf loader, and assist with brush and leaf collections.

Possession of NC CDL Class A or B is required. Education equates to eleventh grade with substantial experience; candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in variable weather while following directions and safety

Formación

• Education may be substituted by combination with experience.
• Experience operating hoist trucks, rear load packers, scow trucks, and leaf loaders preferred.
• Must possess NC CDL Class A or B license or ability to obtain and maintain.

Responsabilidades

• Operate listed heavy equipment under supervision within the Sanitation Division.
• Demonstrate proper safety practices for crew and equipment.
• Perform other skilled or semi-skilled tasks as assigned.
• Assist with collection of brush, bulky items, and leaves as described.
