Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support the Primoris Heavy Civil team in Lockport, LA. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other equipment, performing pre/post inspections and documenting findings.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, coordinating with ground crew, and maintaining safe, efficient project progress while following OSHA and company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, grades, and stakes.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and earthwork principles.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders and more according to project requirements and safety standards.
• Perform daily pre/post-operation checks and complete required documentation.
• Conduct minor maintenance and lubrication of equipment and report issues to supervisors.
• Read blueprints and grade stakes to ensure accurate excavation and material placement.
• Maintain a clean work area and support general labor duties when needed.
