Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of a Physician's Assistant program.
• PA licensure within the first three months after application.
• PA certification.
• BLS certification.
• State and federal controlled substances registration (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad spectrum of patients and perform clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assess health status through histories, exams, labs and imaging; diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases.
• Assess psychosocial needs and learning barriers during admission.
• Examine patients and consult with physicians on evaluation.
• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to age and needs.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Set priorities and modify care; consult MD as needed; triage referrals.
• Order labs and radiology tests based on assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Demonstrate appropriate prescribing habits.
• Promote prevention through patient education.
