Job summary

HGA is seeking a Medical Planner in Boston, MA to lead planning efforts for complex healthcare projects and guide project teams toward evidence-based solutions. You will manage planning scope, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and design professionals to balance function, patient experience, and regulatory compliance.

Your role emphasizes research, data analysis, and coordination across architects, engineers, and consultants, with a focus on delivering insights-driven master

Qualifications

• Professional degree in planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive planning experience with a portfolio of significant, complex projects.
• AICP, FAICP, LEED or another relevant professional accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency in planning and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, GIS, Adobe Suite).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in healthcare, lab, or academic research planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and data analysis for planning and programming studies.
• Develop and lead planning and programming tasks, including space analysis, master planning, and implementation strategies.
• Prepare detailed diagrams, reports, and planning deliverables.
• Coordinate planning scope with architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
• Mentor junior planners and interns; contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.
