Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a seasoned manager to lead a department within the MUSC Community Physicians network. The role involves supervising multiple staff, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Strong leadership will support budget planning and strategic priorities across clinical and non-clinical settings. Responsibilities include organizing workflows, coordinating with leadership to establish operating procedures,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience.
• 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience.
• State licensure and/or professional certification dependent on position.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or ARC BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manages one or more functional areas of a department.
• Manages two or more professional and support staff including subordinate supervisors.
• Has hire, fire, or promotion authority and evaluates department processes.
• Supports budget processes and meeting key operational goals.
• Plans, organizes, facilitates, monitors, and evaluates activities of the department.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education

7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience

State licensure and/or professional certification
