First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Healthcare Underwriter to lead underwriting actions for complex Healthcare portfolios in a remote, multi-market role across NY, NJ, FL, MA, and IL.

You will review financial statements, determine loan structuring, and prepare credit memos while mentoring junior underwriters and supporting risk mitigation efforts with cross-functional teams. The role collaborates with relationship managers to ensure compliant, quality credit decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, projection preparation, and trailing twelve month analysis.
• High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis, financial statement spreading, projection preparation, and trailing twelve month analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting - lead healthcare credit actions, gather information, determine repayment viability, and recommend loan structuring.
• Risk Management - identify risks, communicate review schedule, and manage portfolio risk.
• Analysis - compile financial data to support structuring and approval of loans, including collateral evaluation.
• Business Support - assist in cross-sales opportunities, prepare credit analysis documentation, and train peers.
