Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Designer with a focus in interiors for healthcare environments to join our Chicago studio. You will translate concepts into Revit and construction documents, mentor junior staff, and lead design conversations with clients. A strong portfolio in healthcare spaces and NCIDQ/CID is required.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, coordinate documentation, and explore sustainable material palettes while maintaining project quality and client relationships.

Qualifications

Experience delivering healthcare spaces.
Understanding of healthcare regulations and codes (FGI, FBC and NFPA).
8+ years of post-grad interior design experience.
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiar with SketchUp, 3D programs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants on healthcare projects.
Participate in client interviews and presentations to support project pursuits.
Lead design conversations with clients and mentor junior designers.
Produce interior design documentation: programming, space planning, schematic and design development.
