Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to perform complex data analysis of clinical and financial performance for the assigned entity. You will independently compile and report information for Financial Accounting, Internal Audit, Revenue Cycle, and management, and partner with IT Business Intelligence as needed.

You will develop best practices, maintain monthly dashboards of key indicators and external benchmarks, and assist with annual operating budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, business administration or related field.
• Three years of financial, budget or cost accounting analysis experience; experience in a health care environment preferred.
• CHFP and CPA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with department and external partners to resolve financial questions and report performance.
• Acts as SME for assigned entity and mentors junior team members.
• Assists in managing departmental budgets and generates timely financial reports.
• Develops dashboards and analyzes revenue performance against benchmarks.
• Reviews contracts and supports grant/donor budgeting where applicable.
