Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking an experienced planner to contribute to healthcare facility planning and community development projects in Florida. You will lead planning studies, review proposals for code compliance, and create visualizations to support informed decisions for clients and public bodies.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree (Master's preferred), an AICP credential is a plus, and 8–15 years of related experience with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, healthcare administration, industrial engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred in listed fields
• AICP Certification preferred
• 8-15 years of relevant experience
• Ability to lead client-facing meetings and manage client relationships
• Knowledge of healthcare facility operations and planning is desired

Responsibilities

• Develop planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs, and regulations.
• Review plans and apply provisions of ordinances and codes for compliance.
• Create graphic designs, development strategies, and render site plans via sketches or computer graphics.
• Review development proposals for conformity with codes and plans.
• Collect data and prepare reports and maps on census, land use, tax base, occupancy, etc.
• Conduct field evaluations and assessments independently.
• Prepare data and visualization elements for interpretation of data and analyses.
• Lead and present detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
• Familiar with complete streets, Vision Zero, and related planning/safety initiatives.
