Job summary

Tier4 Group seeks an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst to drive healthcare data modernization initiatives within a state government environment. You will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes SQL, data warehousing, cloud platforms (AWS/Snowflake), and collaboration with data architects, engineers, and QA to deliver enterprise data platforms and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business, functional, technical, and data requirements for complex data initiatives.
• Bridge between business users and technical/data teams, translating needs into technical requirements and data solutions.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and SQL querying to ensure data quality and derive insights.
• Support design, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise data warehouse and cloud-based data solutions.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, project managers, analysts and stakeholders through the lifecycle.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and data platform implementation sessions.
• Create clear business and technical documentation for development teams and end users.
• Present findings and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support AWS and Snowflake-based modernization initiatives and establish standards and best practices.
• Assist with BI reporting training and ensuring end users understand data capabilities.
• Contribute to project planning and delivery within PMO processes.
