Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking an experienced sourcing professional to lead strategic initiatives across multiple categories. You will collaborate with clinicians, value analysis leaders, and suppliers to develop strategies that improve value, quality, and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, supplier negotiations, and the use of approved AI tools to enhance analysis and reporting. A hybrid schedule requires three days in the office in Irving, TX, with some travel.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or related field.
• Experience supporting sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, or category mgmt activities.
• Strong analytical skills with spend, utilization, and market data.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Healthcare, group purchasing, or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated AI fluency with the ability to evaluate AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for assigned product and service categories.
• Lead sourcing initiatives from opportunity identification through implementation.
• Analyze supplier proposals and contract opportunities to identify savings and value adds.
• Coordinate contract negotiations, RFIs/RFPs, and implementation planning.
• Support stakeholder decision-making with category insights and recommendations.
• Travel as needed; work in a hybrid model with three days in-office per week.
