Job summary

IHA in Des Moines is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee healthcare facility construction programs. You will lead design, budgeting, contracting, bidding, and close-out with responsibility for schedule and cost control.

On-site role requiring collaboration with architects, leaders, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety, compliance, and timely project delivery, while mentoring a small team and coordinating IT, equipment, and occupancy activities.

Qualifications

• Education / Accreditation / Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business or relevant work experience
• Experience: Min 5-7 year’s exp in architectural design and/or construction project management
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Must be familiar with building codes
• Basic drafting and CAD (computer aided drafting) experience
• Experience in capital project management software
• Must have experience with financial and operational management and analysis experience with technical estimating and budgeting tools for construction

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects, including design, budgeting, contracts, and close-out
• Lead safety and infection control programs on site
• Coordinate with architects, leadership, and regulators to integrate programs
• Provide budget estimates and cost reporting to stakeholders
• Ensure on-time delivery and within budget for each project
• Mentor a small team and oversee project components such as IT and equipment procurement
