Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered products and the data foundations behind them. You’ll work with engineers, data scientists, and product teams in a fast-paced agile environment on full stack and data solutions for production GenAI use cases.

The role covers data pipelines, feature stores, and vector stores; you’ll implement MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD, and observability across AI services while ensuring security, privacy, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering with AI/ML production delivery.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Python/Java/Node.js/TypeScript) and one frontend framework (React/Angular/Vue).
• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI solutions in cloud infrastructures with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Experience building data pipelines for ML/AI workloads and vector DB integrations for RAG.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with authentication/authorization and API security.
• 6+ years of SQL and relational DB design and query optimization.
• 3+ years of cloud platforms and data engineering tools (AWS/GCP/Azure/Databricks/Snowflake).
• Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps, model versioning, monitoring, and production pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git workflows, and automated testing.
• Hands-on debugging, performance optimization, and production issue resolution across data, backend, frontend, and AI layers.
• Willingness to drive process improvements and own outcomes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI systems and LLM apps with multi-step workflows.
• Develop end-to-end RAG solutions: ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector indexing, retrieval tuning.
• Build data pipelines, feature stores, and vector stores for analytics and ML workloads.
• Create full stack apps exposing AI features via chat/copilot UIs, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Integrate with LLM APIs, relational databases, and data platforms; optimize latency and costs.
• Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices including versioning, evaluation, monitoring, and release workflows.
• Establish CI/CD, test automation, IaC, and observability across apps and AI services.
• Troubleshoot production issues across data, AI, and UI layers; improve reliability and UX.
• Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and promote AI best practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, and data science to deliver AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant, secure, private, and auditable AI systems.
