Job summary

Milliman's Seattle Health Practice is seeking an FSA with strong health actuarial experience to lead a team of consultants. You will analyze healthcare data, produce clear reports, and manage projects within budget while mentoring junior actuaries.

We value self-motivation, communication skills, and the ability to develop client relationships. Office-based in Seattle with consideration for remote candidates, and a strong mentorship program is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• FSA designation.
• Seven to ten years of healthcare actuarial experience.
• Medicaid rate-setting.
• Reserving and year-end financials (blue/orange blanks).
• ACA pricing/rate filing.
• Medicare Advantage, bid development and revenue mechanisms.
• Value-based provider contracting.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R.
• Strong understanding of the US healthcare system.
• Ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of healthcare data.
• Write reports that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Manage projects through completion within an expected budget.
• Supervise actuarial students and less-experienced actuaries in technical aspects of projects.
