Job summary

Aptive seeks a Health Systems Specialist Senior-Level to support VA VHA OCI on the OIP contract, building analytics and dashboards across VA data sources to track informatics portfolio. You will join SAFe releases with data analysts, informaticists, and VA Business Owners.

Responsibilities include developing Power BI/Tableau dashboards for leadership, visualizing portfolio measures, and advising on data-source integration within VA’s informatics environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of VA databases and interrelationships (CDW, VSSC, VHIE, etc.).
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
• Knowledge and application of change management theory.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a VA background investigation; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Source analytics from VA databases and interrelationships (CDW, Summit Data Platform, VSSC, VHIE, ServiceNow).
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI or Tableau dashboards for OCI leadership and delivery teams.
• Visualize Epic and Feature value measures with baseline, actual, and variance.
• Develop dashboards for VHIE exchange volume, data quality, and partner performance.
• Create EHR issue management, Oracle Health queues, and patient safety analytics dashboards.
• Advise on new data sources and tools fitting VA’s informatics environment.
• Apply project management methods to plan and deliver analytics work.
• Drive dashboard adoption through change management and user training.
• Define data-quality checks and document data sources, definitions, and refresh schedules.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies; decompose Epics into Features with acceptance criteria.
• Present analytics findings to OCI leadership and VA Business Owners.
