Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp in the United States seeks a Senior Safety Director to lead the occupational health and safety program for a mega project or multiple projects within a Division.

The role drives safety procedures, implements trainings, mentors safety teams and partners with project stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements across high-risk construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or related field.
• 20+ years of construction or safety experience.
• 10+ years managing construction or safety teams.
• Experience with high-risk projects.
• Necessary company safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety program and procedures for a single mega project or oversight of all projects in a Division.
• Develops division wide or mega project specific safety procedures and practices; implements trainings and initiatives.
• Reviews project trend analysis to ensure accurate tracking of accidents and other safety incidents.
• Oversees safety orientations, trainings and toolbox talks for project staff within designated timeframe.
• Directs site training, equipment needs and inspection requirements to support construction schedule.
• Reviews DHA and JHA to ensure timely tracking of safety procedures and mitigation.
• Maintains knowledge of company values and strategic plan; supports published policies.
