Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is seeking a seasoned leader to develop and implement strategies that shape health policy and regulatory outcomes. You will engage Hill and Administration officials, manage complex legislative projects, and collaborate with senior staff to advance policy positions and Plan priorities.

The role requires deep expertise in health care policy, Medicare/MA policy experience, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Health, Public Policy or related field.
• 10+ years of health care policy and analysis experience, emphasis on managed care/health insurance.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead strategies to influence legislation, regulations, and key stakeholders.
• Manage regulatory and legislative projects, policy analysis, and development of comments and educational materials.
• Represent BCBSA in meetings with policymakers and influential organizations.
• Identify and evaluate business and policy issues; review legislation, regulations, and guidance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers and third‑party stakeholders; liaise with regulatory representatives.
• Provide policy input and support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with policy positions.
• Formulate and communicate strategies on an issue‑by‑issue basis to promote Plan initiatives.
