Job summary

Westinghouse is recruiting Senior Health Physics Technicians to work at various Nuclear Power Plants within the United States. You will provide radiation protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activities and report to the Westinghouse site manager.

• Conduct radiation and contamination surveys.
• Conduct material and equipment surveys.

• Escort material.
• Develop ALARA planning.
• Assist with decontamination activities.
• Support Site Emergency Plan.

Qualifications

• Senior Health Physics Technician 3.1A or above (requires 2,000 hours of commercial nuclear power combined with a systematic approach to training).
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.
• Knowledge of radiation detection and measurement equipment, including calibration and quality control.

The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience and qualifications, is estimated to be $34 to $40 per hour.
