State of Ohio is seeking a Senior Health Physicist in Columbus to lead radiation safety programs within BEHRP. The role involves complex evaluation of radioactive materials, regulatory compliance, and field measurements.

The position is based in downtown Columbus with county coverage across West Central Ohio. Responsibilities include supervising health physics staff, performing radiation surveys, and coordinating data collection.

Qualifications

• 4 years of full-time experience with radioactive materials or radiation safety programs.
• Experience interpreting regulations and standards (ORC, OAC, NCRP, CFR, ANSI).
• Ability to lead teams on special projects and inspections.

Responsabilités

• Review work of junior health physicists and inspectors.
• Act as team lead on special projects, hospital inspections and investigations.
• Perform field measurements of radiation exposure.
• Organize, evaluate and analyze measurement results for accuracy and trends.
• Operate radiation measurement equipment and quality control tools.
• Coordinate data collection and ensure data management quality.
