Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale healthcare and technology projects. You will ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget, serving as a liaison with stakeholders and mentoring junior PMs.

You’ll drive executive reporting, manage risks, and align project execution with business objectives while maintaining client relationships throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint); direct experience using Microsoft Project or similar tools required.
• PMP or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred or actively working toward certification.
• Experience with healthcare delivery systems, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or government contracts strongly preferred.
• Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
• Leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple large-scale initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages end-to-end delivery of projects with moderate to high complexity, on schedule, within scope and budget.
• Leads cross-functional project teams and coordinates with clients on activities, deliverables, and status.
• Tracks milestones, deliverables, and metrics using project management tools.
• Manages project risks by identifying issues early, developing mitigation strategies, and escalating when needed.
• Prepares executive-level reports and presents to leadership and clients.
• Owns and monitors project budgets and forecasts resources with finance and leadership.
• Ensures adherence to governance, HIPAA policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors junior PMs and project coordinators to strengthen the team.
• Collaborates with clients to analyze problems and maintain strong relationships throughout the project life cycle.
