Job summary

The MRT HIT position is located in the Health Information Management (HIM) section at the John D Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. The MRT HIT performs incomplete health record analysis, reviewing, analyzing, abstracting, maintaining, extracting, and compiling information from health records.

Responsibilities include verifying accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of health records and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with health information management concepts such as medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and health records.
• The candidate must meet the basic requirements through education and/or experience as described in the vacancy.
