Job summary

Requires RHIA certification and two years post-certification experience; internal transfer options exist for state employees.

Qualifications

• RHIA certification by AHIMA and two years of full-time health information management experience.
• Within State Service: one year permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a medical records program and preserve health information.
• Plan, implement, and maintain systems for acquiring and preserving individuals’ medical records.
• Supervise and train subordinate staff in medical records and health information management.
