Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC seeks a Senior Health Information Tech to provide clerical and analytic support to the Health Information Management Department. You will analyze the EHR for completion, generate reports, validate documents, and assist with staff training on the EHR system.

You will prioritize transcribed reports, ensure timely processing of records, and support coding and compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of Health Information Management experience in an acute care facility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Typing speed 60 wpm with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for completion and track documentation.
• Prepare and distribute communications per privacy, ethics, and regulatory standards.
• Analyze inpatient and ambulatory accounts and assign deficiencies to care providers.
• Log and troubleshoot issues in EHR and transcription systems; maintain communications.
• Provide customer service to staff and visitors; assist with scanning and indexing records.
