Job summary

MSR Technology Group seeks a Senior Health Data Modeler to design, govern, and evolve enterprise data models for a large EDW and analytics program. You will translate healthcare requirements into scalable data architectures and support cloud modernization on Azure, Snowflake, and Lakehouse platforms.

The role requires strong experience in HIPAA/PHI/PII data handling, metadata management, and data quality. Remote work is offered with preference for Central U.S./Midwest while continental travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling, data strategy, and data architecture for large healthcare datasets
• 5+ years of experience with healthcare data security and regulatory standards (HIPAA, PHI, PII)
• 5+ years of experience with Erwin Data Modeler or comparable tools (ER/Studio, SQL Developer Data Modeler)
• 5+ years of healthcare domain experience
• Experience with Dimensional Modeling (Star/Snowflake), OLAP, SCD, and MDMD
• Advanced SQL, stored procedures, DDL/DML, query optimization
• Experience with metadata, data governance, and data quality initiatives
• Exposure to Azure, Snowflake, Lakehouse architectures and data modernization

Responsibilities

• Design, governance, and evolution of enterprise data models across conceptual, logical, and physical layers
• Bridge traditional EDW environments with cloud-based architectures (Azure, Snowflake, Lakehouse)
• Create end-to-end data architecture visions from logical designs to physical implementations
• Maintain documentation and promote a single source of truth across platforms
• Lead data architecture and modeling initiatives supporting healthcare analytics and reporting
• Support data governance, security, retention, and regulatory compliance
