Job summary

Providence Health & Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to analyze clinical data and build data-centric software supporting healthcare operations. You will leverage cloud, big data, and data science to enable insights across the system, with emphasis on collaboration and robust data governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering.
5+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
Master's degree preferred; 8+ years of data development experience.
Experience with Hadoop / Spark / NoSQL, Kafka, Flink.
SQL + Python proficiency; Linux-based processing.

Responsibilities

Analyze clinical data and identify trends to inform decision-making.
Design and build data-centric software applications for healthcare operations.
Build data pipelines and transformations; mentor junior engineers; collaborate with Product, Platform and Architecture teams.
