Job summary

BPAS, a national provider of retirement plan administration and health benefit solutions, seeks an experienced actuary to support health and welfare programs for mid-to-large clients. The role involves applying actuarial standards, developing premium rates, and advising on regulatory matters.

Ideal candidates have ASA/FSA credentials, 8+ years of GASB 75 retiree valuation experience, and strong client-facing communication skills to deliver high-quality, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• ASA or FSA credentials.
• 8+ years experience with GASB 75 retiree health valuation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within Health Benefit Consulting Services on health and benefit programs for mid-to-large clients.
• Develop active and retiree-specific premium rates for budgeting and COBRA administration.
• Analyze financial implications of health benefits programs and plan designs.
• Interface with clients and communicate analyses in reports and presentations.
