Index Analytics LLC, a Baltimore-based health analytics firm, seeks a Senior Researcher/Analyst to transform Medicaid and CHIP data into actionable insights using statistical methods, data mining, and qualitative research to inform policy and improve health outcomes.

In an agile setting, you will lead analytic product development from pilot studies to dashboards, collaborate with analysts and clients, and communicate findings through clear reports and presentations to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience applying statistical methods to support data-driven decision-making for policy and oversight.
• Direct experience with SQL or PySpark is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on Medicaid and CHIP data sources to inform CMS business needs.
• Perform data analyses using statistical methods and data mining techniques to build predictive models.
• Develop reports, ad hoc analyses, and data visualizations grounded in UX best practices.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with analysts, data scientists, and clients to define requirements.
• Lead development of analytic products for pilot studies to dashboards and reports.
• Manage projects and guide technical and non-technical staff on analytic use cases.
• Prepare technical deliverables and presentations communicating findings to clients and scientific audiences.
• Integrate qualitative design research with exploratory data analysis to inform policy and outcomes.
• Review documentation and training materials related to analytic approaches and data quality observations.
