Job summary

Stanford University’s Division of Computational Medicine seeks a Senior Program Manager, Health AI Programs to translate research into operational use. You will manage a portfolio spanning AI in health care, partnerships with external labs, and collaborations with Stanford Health Care.

Hybrid role onsite 2–3 days per week; you will align priorities, drive plans, and report to Dr. Nigam H. Shah, Chief Data Scientist, ensuring ethical, safe, and cost-effective AI deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing complex programs.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Experience in academic medicine, health care, AI, data science or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead program planning and execution with workplans, milestones, owners, and reporting.
• Coordinate research and operational activities across schools and health care partners.
• Manage meetings, document decisions, drive follow-through, and elevate risks.
• Represent programs and the principal investigator in routine meetings.
• Build relationships with external partners and manage shared deliverables and events.
• Evaluate program performance and implement process improvements.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and funding risks.
