About the Role

The Senior Hardware Validation Engineer at Midtronics leads efforts to ensure the reliability and performance of advanced battery diagnostic and testing equipment. Responsibilities include developing and executing validation plans for 12V internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle battery testers, electric vehicle (EV) battery packs, and modules. The role involves hands-on lab work, data analysis, and collaboration with hardware design, firmware, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and validate design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for hardware products.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and implement corrective actions to ensure effective testing.
3. Create documentation including test requirements, standards, procedures, reports, and approvals.
4. Manage test schedules supporting product development timelines.
5. Lead external laboratory engagements.
6. Own testing, qualification, and certification of platforms within the design team.
7. Define and administer testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
8. Monitor testing effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to understand and diagnose complex electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of test methodologies and supporting equipment.
• Expertise in data acquisition environments (e.g., LabVIEW).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in hardware validation.
