Job summary

MANTECH in Washington, DC seeks an Expert Hardware Test Engineer to join a hybrid team. The role emphasizes deep testing expertise, DHS policy familiarity, and leadership over test activities across programs.

Hybrid work is required with one day onsite and four remote days weekly. Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in test & evaluation, hardware testing experience, and a proven record of delivering critical technical reports for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in test and evaluation.
• Experience with hardware systems testing.
• Experience with DHS acquisition policy and lifecycle.
• Understanding of DHS AIM 102-01.
• Proven ability to develop complex technical reports for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical authority for the overarching Test and Evaluation strategy for programs.
• Provide high-level consultation on verification & validation documentation and TRL planning.
• Support large-scale field testing, demonstrations and red team probing.
• Architect testing frameworks to validate physics-based fidelity and comply with NIST AI RMF controls.
• Direct junior and intermediate test engineers and align activities with mission objectives.
• Ensure all deliverables meet DHS S&T quality standards.
• Bridge mission requirements and technical implementation for procurement decisions.
