Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Hardware Technician IV in Sunnyvale, CA, onsite. The role covers rework, repair, prototype assembly, and QA across multiple electronics disciplines.

You will assess failures, perform tests, disassemble and replace components, and document outcomes to support engineering teams. The position emphasizes strong communication, adherence to SOPs, and hands-on debugging across electrical, mechanical, and software aspects.

Responsibilities

• Rework and repair: assess condition of returned prototype units and confirm failure mode.
• Run tests on prototype units and perform failure analysis to identify root cause.
• Disassemble strategically and visually inspect related systems.
• Exchange components to isolate failures.
• Document all work thoroughly for traceability.
• Prototype assembly: support documentation and live discussions with Engineering.
• Provide solutions to teams with electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting.
• Assist with scaled prototype assembly/disassembly for small production runs.
• Prototype QA: flash, program and calibrate prototypes per SOPs.
• Run scripts via CLI on Linux, MacOS, and Windows; familiarity with AB.
