Job summary

Crusoe in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Hardware Systems Engineer to strengthen our hardware systems team. You’ll own end-to-end lifecycle of next-generation compute platforms—from prototype bring-up to large-scale production—driving automation, issue resolution, and reliability across Crusoe Cloud’s GPU- and CPU-based infrastructure.

Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and reliability teams to analyze performance, define validation strategies, and translate workload insights

Qualifications

• 8+ years in hardware systems or related engineering fields.
• Experience with large-scale GPU/accelerated AI/ML or HPC infrastructure.
• Experience with workload benchmarking and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of server and accelerator architectures (CPU, GPU, memory, NVLink, PCIe).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of next-generation compute platforms from bring-up to production.
• Define performance characterization and validation for CPU/GPU/accelerated platforms.
• Characterize workloads across training and inference to guide optimizations.
• Provide topology, scheduling, and power settings recommendations to maximize performance.
• Develop automation, testing, and diagnostics pipelines.
