Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer to strengthen Crusoe’s Hardware Systems Engineering team and close critical skill gaps in debugging, validation, performance evaluation and production support of high-performance compute systems. In this role, you will collaborate across hardware, software, infrastructure, and vendor teams to drive bring-up, validation and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of hardware systems engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale GPU/accelerated infrastructure for AI/ML or HPC.
• Experience with workload benchmarking and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of modern server architectures and interconnects (PCIe, NVLink, InfiniBand).
• Ability to analyze system behavior using telemetry and profiling tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end lifecycle of next-generation compute platforms from bring-up to production readiness.
• Define and execute performance characterization for CPU, GPU, and accelerated computing platforms.
• Conduct workload studies across training and inference models to understand compute, memory, and I/O behavior.
• Translate workload and platform insights into cluster tuning and configuration recommendations.
• Build workload performance profiles and reference configurations for deployment and scaling.
• Lead complex system-level debugging across compute, memory, storage, networking, accelerators, and firmware.
