Job summary

Anthropic is hiring senior hardware systems architects and technical leads to own the system-level architecture for large-scale compute, including power, cooling, interconnect, and the datacenter interface. Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one core hardware-systems domain (e.g., interconnect, power, thermal).
• Experience owning hardware system architecture at scale and writing specifications.
• Experience taking hardware from architecture through bring-up and production deployment.
• Experience working with external vendors and partners to meet a specification.
• Ability to reason about cross-domain trade-offs and drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own system path-finding and architecture across compute deployments, with design reviews.
• Write and own high-level requirements for system, board, interface, and rack.
• Review partner designs, surface risks, and make buy/ co-design calls with supply chain.
• Drive interconnect and networking architecture across scale-out fabrics and topology.
• Define validation, bring-up, and qualification strategy for new platforms.
• Collaborate with ML performance and infra teams so hardware aligns with workloads.
• Help shape AI-assisted design reviews and establish standards and forums.
