Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr Security Engineer, HW, Devices and Services Security to identify security issues in chips and low-level software across Amazon devices. You will guide secure development from design, through threat modeling and code reviews, to security testing and fuzzing.

The role tasks include proposing tools, providing security expertise to device teams, and creating mitigations for identified risks, with a focus on secure hardware across Fire TV, Eero, Alexa, Ring,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years identifying security issues and developing mitigations.
• 4+ years scripting, programming and security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of hardware security mechanisms incl. secure boot and TEEs.
• Semiconductor reverse engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Linux and RTOS internals.

Responsibilities

• Guide secure device development from design to code reviews, security testing and fuzzing.
• Develop tools and techniques to improve device security at scale.
• Provide technical security expertise to device product teams.
• Identify risks and work with engineers to create mitigations.
• Develop new security policies and procedures.
• Promote security awareness and training materials.
