Job summary

Oracle US seeks a Consulting Hardware Security Engineer to ensure the security of compute hardware used in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will define hardware security requirements, work with vendors, and influence security posture across operations and engineering teams.

The role blends hardware, firmware, and security with hands-on assessments, risk modeling, and mentoring. You will communicate risks to leadership and drive security improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hardware security architecture, engineering, validation, or related experience.
• Proficient in hardware/firmware security and computer architecture.
• Experience with risk assessment, threat modeling, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Define security requirements for hardware to meet OCI security posture.
• Provide independent design consulting for complex compute systems with security at the core.
• Perform security assessments and adversarial testing on compute systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and share security knowledge across teams.
• Communicate risks and mitigation options to senior leadership.
