Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Sr. Compliance Engineer to lead safety engineering across our data center infrastructure. You will own the end-to-end safety compliance lifecycle for hardware spanning AI, ML, power distribution, and cooling systems deployed worldwide.

You will partner with ODMs, test agencies, and stakeholders to deliver compliant products on tight timelines, driving first-time pass test outcomes and scaling the compliance framework to support AWS growth.

Qualifications

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
7+ years of progressive experience in supporting NPI/NPD design related to product compliance, primarily safety.
Experience with ITE and/or Data Center power & cooling equipment categories.

Responsibilities

Own safety compliance strategy for new product introduction and sustaining programs, identifying applicable requirements across global markets and driving execution from concept through certification.
Partner with hardware development teams during design reviews to identify safety risks and ensure first-time pass rates.
Serve as the primary technical interface with NRTLs and Notified Bodies, managing test plans and approvals.
Build and maintain a scalable compliance framework including templates, checklists, and process documentation.
