Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) seeks a Sr. Compliance Engineer to lead safety engineering across our rapidly expanding data center infrastructure.

You will own the end-to-end safety compliance lifecycle from design engagement through final certification for AWS hardware worldwide. You will partner with ODMs, test labs, and legal teams to deliver compliant products on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 7+ years of experience supporting NPI/NPD design for product compliance and safety.
• Experience with ITE and/or Data Center power & cooling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own safety compliance strategy for NPI and sustaining programs.
• Partner with hardware teams during design reviews to identify safety risks and ensure first-time test pass rates.
• Interface with NRTL and Notified Bodies for test plans and approvals.
• Perform root cause analysis with ODM partners and implement corrective actions.
• Build a scalable compliance framework with templates and checklists.
• Develop metrics to track certification pipeline health and risk areas.
• Stay current on evolving global safety regulations and assess impact on AWS roadmaps.
