Tarana Wireless Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware QA & Diagnostics Engineer in Milpitas, CA. You will own end-to-end hardware failure investigations from field evidence to root cause and corrective action, while building automation and cross-functional processes to scale diagnostics across fleets.

You will lead complex investigations involving RF, memory, power, and Linux boot, and mentor other engineers to raise diagnostic quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on hardware QA, failure analysis, embedded systems, or equivalent.
• Own complex hardware investigations from symptom to corrective action.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, serial tools).
• Ability to isolate hardware faults from firmware, software, and config issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RMA and failure-analysis investigations from field evidence to corrective action.
• Define and improve diagnostic methods, test plans, and data collection standards.
• Develop production-quality Python/Bash automation and tools for bench testing and log analysis.
• Collaborate with HW, FW, SW, Manufacturing, Customer Support to resolve issues with evidence-based recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and diagnostics.
