Job summary

DDN is seeking a hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to support deployment, validation, and operation of large-scale solutions across storage, compute, and networking infrastructure in Colorado. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure systems are correctly configured, stable, and performant.

The role emphasizes BIOS and firmware validation, OS-level checks, and cross-layer troubleshooting, with opportunities to contribute to procedures, documentation, and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or platform-focused roles.
• Hands-on hardware and firmware experience (BIOS, BMC, device-level tools).
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with NVMe, NICs, storage fundamentals.
• Experience updating firmware with risk awareness.
• Good scripting skills; Go is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with proactive problem solving.
• Willingness to learn deeper system performance and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Perform system bring-up and validation, including BIOS configuration and firmware updates.
• Configure and verify platform settings for performance and reliability.
• Execute firmware updates across components (NVMe drives, NICs, system firmware).
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to device initialization and health.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to triage cross-layer issues.
• Contribute to documentation and standardization of bring-up, validation, and operations.
