Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineers to join our home networking team. You will be a senior hardware owner responsible for architecture, schematic design, PCB layout review, board bring-up, validation, and mass production support for consumer network products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on hardware design experience, including at least 3 years in a senior/lead role.
• Experience in consumer networking devices such as routers, gateways, mesh Wi-Fi, or IoT hubs.
• Strong hardware system design experience across SoC/CPU platforms, DDR, Flash/eMMC, Ethernet PHY/switch, Wi‑Fi modules, power, and interfaces.
• Proficient in schematic design, PCB layout, design documentation, and use of Cadence or Altium tools.
• Hands-on board bring-up, debugging, validation, and failure analysis with standard lab equipment.
• Familiarity with FCC/CE/RED, ISED, ESD, EMI/EMC, DFS, and reliability tests.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware system architecture for network products, including SoC/CPU, memory, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RF front-end, and power design.
• Lead component selection and evaluation, including SoC/CPU, Wi‑Fi modules, DDR, Flash/eMMC, and power components.
• Own schematic design, layout guidance, BOM preparation, and design release.
• Guide layout engineers on high‑speed routing, impedance control, power distribution, RF layout, and DFM/DFT.
• Lead board bring-up, hardware debugging, and system-level issue analysis across power, clocks, DDR, Ethernet, and Wi‑Fi.
• Define and execute hardware validation plans: functional, power, SI, thermal, RF validation, reliability tests.
• Support EVT/DVT/PVT, pilot runs, mass production, and factory builds with documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hardware standards, checklists, and training.
