Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize consumer networking devices such as routers, access points, and switches.

You will lead feature architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑performance products. The role requires 5+ years in embedded systems, strong C/C++/assembly skills, Linux experience, and networking expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and assembly.
• Experience with embedded operating systems (e.g., Linux) and device drivers.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Wi‑Fi.
• Hands‑on experience developing networking products (routers, access points, switches).
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management to conduct technical research and feasibility assessments guiding design decisions.
• Design and develop embedded networking products across multiple hardware platforms.
• Define system requirements and architecture for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to resolve integration challenges.
• Develop and optimize software features while troubleshooting networking issues for high performance.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation and design specifications.
• Lead design and code reviews to uphold high quality standards.
• Coordinate with QA for testing and issue resolution during the SDLC.
• Oversee firmware releases and maintain documentation and change logs.
