Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, in Nashua, NH, is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and validate high-speed interconnect hardware platforms supporting Ethernet and PCIe, including AEC, optical transceivers, and LPO.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams—SI, optical, firmware, and mechanical—to deliver robust designs from concept through production, focusing on signal integrity, power integrity, board bring-up,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hardware design and development experience in high-speed networking.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Experience with optical networking, AI infrastructure, cloud networking, or hyperscale data centers.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet and PCIe standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware platforms for Ethernet and PCIe interconnect products (AEC, optical transceiver, and LPO).
• Create schematics, select components, and document hardware designs.
• Define PCB stack-ups and placement to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with PCB layout to optimize routing, manufacturability, and performance.
• Support design reviews and product qualification activities.
• Integrate DSPs, retimers, and SerDes into test platforms and optimize channel performance.
• Work with SI, optical, firmware, and mechanical teams on bring-up and validation.
• Evaluate thermal and power integrity for high-density networking products.
