Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to Warren or Milford, Michigan, at least three times per week.

The Role

General Motors is leading the transformation of the automotive industry through electrification and advanced autonomous capabilities. Our Semiconductor Engineering team is a dynamic, innovative group focused on designing and commercializing cutting-edge hardware that supports GM’s vehicle architecture.

What You'll Do

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in software, mechanical, and manufacturing to ensure successful integration of network technologies and electrical design.
  2. Perform detailed hardware analyses, including worst-case scenarios, signal integrity, and power integrity assessments.
  3. Troubleshoot hardware issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop effective solutions.
  4. Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  5. Develop requirements and test specifications.
  6. Create comprehensive test strategies covering all development phases.
  7. Lead bench testing throughout the development lifecycle.
  8. Establish expertise in semiconductors and electronic control units within your scope.
  9. Manage technology roadmaps collaboratively with industry leaders.
