Job summary

Stack AV is seeking a Hardware Engineer to own the electrical distribution system and wiring harness design for our autonomous vehicle platform. You will translate requirements into power, grounding, signal, and network architectures and drive them through schematic definition, 3D packaging, release, build, validation, and production support.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field, 5+ years in electrical distribution or harness design, and hands-on experience with ECAD/MCAD tools.

Qualifications

BS in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
5+ years in electrical distribution systems or wiring harness design; 8+ years for staff.
Experience taking harnesses from requirements to production release.
Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, J1939 and EMI/EMC practices.
Proficiency with ECAD/MCAD and PLM tools for harness design.

Responsibilities

Own the EDS and wiring harness architecture for vehicle platforms.
Develop and release schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and harness drawings.
Perform wire sizing, voltage drop, current capacity and grounding analyses.
Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing and suppliers.
Lead design reviews, interface definition, change control and CM.
Define harness verification and test plans including EMI/EMC testing.
