Job summary
Apple is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design Battery Management Units (BMUs) from concept to mass production in San Diego, CA. You will drive analog front-end design, power electronics, and mixed-signal PCB development, collaborating with product design, firmware, and reliability teams to meet performance and manufacturability targets.
The role emphasizes prototype bring-up, design validation, and reporting through PSPICE/ANSSYS simulations, MATLAB modeling, and test automation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 6 years of experience.
- Experience designing, simulating and validating analog front-end circuits for voltage, current, charge and temperature sensing.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate and validate analog front-end circuits for sensing functions.
- Develop schematics and BOMs for BMUs and ensure manufacturability.
- Create PCB layout guidelines and guide layout engineers for electrical performance.
- Bring up and debug prototypes and perform design validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document validation results.
