Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a Battery Management System (BMS) Firmware/Algorithm Engineer to qualify advanced lithium-ion battery technology for portable power devices.

You will collaborate with internal multi-functional teams to develop BMS algorithms and validation protocols, ensuring high customer experience and reliability. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science and experience in BMS algorithm/firmware/software

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, CS or related field.
• Experience in BMS algorithm/firmware/software development or validation.
• Experience with Python or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Use advanced engineering and mathematics to validate BMS algorithms.
• Develop simulation and physical tests to validate state of charge and state of power.
• Develop verification methods to detect battery abnormalities early in design.
• Review qualification data and perform root-cause analysis.
